World Tai Chi & Qigong Day 2022, with the Tai Chi Globe community
About The Event
What, When and Where
Join the Tai Chi Globe community at this free event, celebrating the Tai Chi and Qigong with this world-wide event celebrated at 10 am local time on the last Saturday of every April.
This year, Tai Chi Globe will be celebrating the event at Aylesbury Multicultural Centre at 10 am until 11 am (with a short midway break) on Saturday 30 April 2022!
As with all Tai Chi Globe events, the atmosphere will be relaxed, informal and friendly, whilst still enjoying instructions from a certified Tai Chi and Qigong Instructor.
Who Is It For?
This free event is open to adults, including the general public*. All Tai Chi Globe members are encouraged to attend if they can, and invite friends and family (subject to registration/availability) - maximum of 30 people.
The event is suitable for any age and any level of ability. Prior experience is not required. Benefits of this event include:
A certified instructor delivers classes, demos, private tuition, and workshops. They are open to any suitable person, provided they are medically fit, are independently mobile and can participate without assistance in the class. Any participant who has any doubt whether they are medically fit to attend the given event(s) is required to have medical clearance from their doctor before commencing. In terms of physical exertion, the tai chi or qigong exercises in this program would be similar to walking.
Classes usually last for one hour. Participants are encouraged to have a rest in between if needed, and always work within their comfort zone. Participants are required to do a gentle warm-up exercise at the beginning of class and cool-down exercise at the end. Suitable trainer-like shoes must be worn to practice Tai Chi & Qi Gong.
Aylesbury Multicultural Centre is located near Morrisons in Aylesbury. From the A41 roundabout next to Morrisons, follow the road down to the mini-roundabout (Duck Farm Court on the right), then turn right at the mini-roundabout. Drive pass the Friarscroft Car Park on your left, and then take the side road immediately after it, also on your left.
Also see map below.
Free parking is available next to the Aylesbury Vale Multicultural Centre, to the left of the centre pinned on the map (but if this is full, park next door at Friarscroft Car Park).
Priority is given to Tai Chi Globe members (all who attend regular Tai Chi Globe classes). However, it is also open for anyone to join, provided there is space on the register.
